Brad Nederhoff, Architect
President

As VernerJohnson’s President, Brad Nederhoff has the firm’s key leadership role and is the firm’s driving force. He has worked in key management, design and planning positions on more than 80 museum projects, representing a broad variety of all museum types. He maintains personal involvement on each project throughout all the phases, with particular emphasis on generating and developing the design concepts and overseeing the overall project team. He ensures that all projects are carried out to the highest level of client satisfaction and success.

Brad joined the firm in 1983, while finishing his Master’s degree at Harvard. Since then, he has continuously specialized in the design and planning of museums.  Brad became a Principal in 2000 and the firm’s Managing Principal & CEO in 2009.

Sacheen Dampier, Architect
Associate

Sacheen has a particular interest and knowledge in green design and sustainability. Since joining the firm in 2011, Sacheen has led the firm’s efforts in attaining LEED certification for all of the museum clients desiring certification. Sacheen has also gained experience in the design and construction of museums, serving on the planning, design and construction administration teams on many of the firm’s recent projects. Sacheen has prior experience with hospitality, education and commercial interiors projects.

Rachel Nederhoff,
Marketing Coordinator

Rachel strategizes and implements the firm’s marketing initiatives and provides administrative support to the firm. She comes to VernerJohnson after several years in the Human Resources field, and with her customer service-centered approach, she contributes a fresh insight in engaging with prospective and existing clients. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution from University of Massachusetts Boston. 

Gienapp Architects
Strategic Partners

VernerJohnson and Gienapp Architects have formed a Strategic Partnership, allowing us to seamlessly combine resources and staffing, share office space, and maximize inter-office communication.

Dale Gienapp AIA has been working in the field of architecture since 1980. After two decades at several prominent Boston firms, he founded Gienapp Design (now Gienapp Architects). Dale has extensive experience with projects from $5k to $40 million, managing all aspects from programming through construction administration.

Imelda Barnhurst AIA has been working in the field of architecture since 2005 and has been at Gienapp Architects since 2009. She has performed numerous assessments, studies and municipal projects throughout her career. She has been the key person on many important Gienapp Architects projects.

Mahmoud Boukhari,
International Collaborator

Mahmoud has collaborated with VernerJohnson on several international museum projects. In 2018, he and his team at IDC collaborated with Brad on the design and developed the renderings and videos for VernerJohnson’s Global Camel Village proposal in Al Sayaheed, Saudi Arabia. Brad and Jonathan also collaborated with Mahmoud on IDC’s proposal for the Beirut Museum of Art (BeMA) in 2016.

Mahmoud Boukhari is a Tunisian architect with more than 12 years experience in architecture and planning from design to execution. Since graduating from ENAU (Ecole Nationale d’Architecture et Urbanisme-Tunis) 2004, Mahmoud has gained extensive experience in developing various types and scales of projects – from innovative concepts and building designs to complex master plans and urban developments.

Ravindra Verma,
International Collaborator

Since  2013, Ravindra has collaborated with VernerJohnson on India-based museum projects. In particular he has worked with Brad Nederhoff in developing strategies for the KKBA project in Delhi. This prestigious new 125,000 SF history museum and additional 270,000 SF Commercial Building was designed by VernerJohnson to tell the rich history of India’s culture and history.

Ravindra is a graduate from School of Planning and Architecture ( SPA) , New Delhi. He is proud to be behind the designing of many ambitious projects. Since 1991, he has taken a leadership role in building a portfolio and has been instrumental in leading the design of several projects. Unusual use of space is one of his biggest forte. He has an eye for good design and can visualize and translate ideas onto paper to show clients and builders. His ability to both lead a design team and provide client management role has been the key in maintaining and nurturing long-term relationships with highly satisfied clients. He has spent more than 28 years focused on planning and designing large scale retail, hotels, offices, residential, mixed use developments, colleges, campuses, townships, Industrial, laboratories, and Hospitals etc. Architecture according to him is what shapes our lives.

Rashmikant Yadav,
International Collaborator

Since 2011, Rashmikant has collaborated with VernerJohnson on its Mumbai museum projects, in particular the World Class Bollywood Museum. Rashmikant has worked shoulder to shoulder with Brad Nederhoff  to aid in his completion of this important design work.

At a tender age of 16, Rashmikant joined his family business of constructing buildings. His family has customarily passed on the baton of knowledge to fathom the responsibilities of this adventurous job. A few years down the line, he realized that his forte is intense liaison with government organization to resolve long pending issues. This promoted Rashmikant to revive and complete Vadala, a truck terminus project in Mumbai, under the purview of the Government of Maharashtra, which was delayed for over two decades. This experience helped Rashmikant to steer his brother, Capt. Amol Yadav’s, dream. Capt. Amol envisions making Aircraft in India and for India. To support his brother, Rashmikant single-handedly negotiated with various government departments for provisioning 157 acres of land near the financial capital of India.
